Canada Dry Ginger Ale (1930s)

The only thing this vintage advert is promoting is gingivitis, although Canada Dry Ginger Ale would claim otherwise. The offensive advert was part of a campaign that recruited freckled-face, ginger haired children to be part of their "It's Gingervating" series of adverts. The adverts of today are a bit more tasteful.

Greyhound! (1950s)

Back in the fifties, Greyhound buses really romanticized road trips with their cute summer travel campaigns. This fresh advert certainly glamorized bus travel, which everyone knows is really scores of people jam packed like tinned sardines on seats. The adverts did a great job of marketing, given that Greyhound is still successful.
